The Music Hall Mini phono preamp can be used with both moving magnet and high output moving coil cartridges. I’m including it because it is affordable. There are no adjustments though. The capacitance is fixed at 5pf + cable capacitance and the resistive load is fixed at 47kOhms, however these settings are close enough for most moving magnet cartridges. The cost of this unit is well south of two bills and adding a capacitive selection switch would also add a couple of hundred dollars to the price.
This is the kind of phono preamp best suited for using the analog input of powered speakers and similar situations.
